Consider flying to Barcelona or Madrid and hire a car. This gives you the flexibility to seethe small and large towns in the area you select.

Join a holiday package from the UK or other parts of Europe. They offer stays in good hotels at remarkable prices, they include the european airfares.

Spend a few days in Barcelona then take a train to Sitges for a few days ... this makes a good city - beach break.

Book a cruise starting in Barcelona so you can see other places in the Mediterranean. Have a few days before of after in Barcelona.

Getting Around Spain

Air: Barcelona El Prat Airport, is located approx 10 km from Barcelona. Serviced by many International Airlines.

Transfers: Rail & Bus is available in to the city. We find the bus very convenient which leaves from outside the terminals A & B.

This can be a little confusing, some towns may not show around Barcelona, as they operate by the local train service. Good idea to Google places From/To for results.

Cruises Ships: These currently make stops at a number of ports. They also have many sailings starting from Barcelona.

I find spain an exciting destination with its every changing scenery, castles, old and new towns.

If you like to relax in one spot, its easy select the area to suit you. To see more of Spain however, I would suggest a hire car, though with careful planning you could use the train.
