Berlin Germany. The capital city of Germany. A fascinating and lively city. It doesn't seem to have a center being spread between the old east and west.

To see the city, try and plan on a few days, also read up on the things you would like to see in advance.

Rail known as BVG is a good way to get around Berlin - Zones A & B cover Berlin City. Its worth asking about the Welcome Card if you are going to make a number of trips.

For a first time traveler we suggest the Berlin City Hop-On Hop-Off Bus. This will take you to most of the main sights with a commentary. Click to View the tour and stops.

Sightseeing Berlin

To discover on your own. If one starts in Alexanderplatz and walks towards Tiergarten, you pass near many important sights. These include Berliner Dom, The Brandenburg Gate, The Reichstag amongst others ... its a nice interesting walk with places many to stop along the way.

Getting Around Berlin

Air: Tegal Airport. Handles the main scheduled airlines. Some airlines however may require a change of flight at another European airport. View Airport.

You also have Schönefeld. The old East Berlin Airport where most Charter Flight companies fly to. Easiest way to get into town is by Airport Express approx 30 minutes.

Tegal Airport to City - Bus - Jet Express Bus numbers 128, 109, and X9 take you in to Berlin. Every ten to fifteen minutes from about 5:30 am to about 11 pm Information is available from the BVG office in the main hall of the terminal.

The bus service is excellent, but be sure you know the point to get off for your hotel.

Berlin for me is very exciting ... it's a city on the go both day and night.

It has much to see with the fa mouse buildings, one must also see the wall. It also has its modern side with fine shopping, restaurants and cafes.

For me its a city with a free spirit ... impossible to describe.
