Getting to the Sunshine Coast Air: Maroochy (Sunshine Coast) Airport for Domestic Flights. Well located for the area. You are able to arrange a transfer at the airport. Taxi's are available. Air: Brisbane for International Flights. The average about one and half hours to any of the parts of the Sunshine Coast by car. Transfers can be booked at the airport but will take longer. Rail: Trains are available to Nambour. A local bus is then required to the coastal area. One should check the rail and bus times in advance. Trains also stop at Eumundi and Coooroy but, they are few and the connection could be difficult. Accommodation Sunshine Coast:
My Travels Neil Walker - View All For me, a place to relax, explore the countryside, enjoy the beach and just lay back. For those wanting more activity however, you have great beaches, golf courses, boating and tennis. National Parks with walking tracks. A must is Fraser Island. You can get four wheel drive tours via the beach which will show you the many highlights ... apart from the island, the four wheel drive ride is an adventure of its own. You will also find some fine restaurants along the coast with every type of food. I had some great fun getting around with my four wheel, bike and scamp.
