The length of the coast is around 50 km. It's made up of a number of towns, all with the beach and ocean for you to enjoy.

These are - starting from Broadwater and heading south towards the New South Wales border.

Broadwater
Broadwater stretches from Southport to Biggera Waters. The first part of the Gold Coast when you drive from Brisbane. A large calm bay looking over towards the spit. - Click to View Accommodation -

Main Beach

Surfers Paradise

Broadbeach

Burleigh Heads

Coolangatta - Tweed Heads

The Beach
The Gold Coast has miles of beautiful beaches all easy to access. Please remember It's important to swim between the flags, with life guards to assist, should you have a problem.

Getting to the Gold Coast

Brisbane Airport: Brisbane Airport has both International and Domestic flights. The Gold Coast is about one hour away.

Transfer Services are available and best booked in advance. Taxi could be expensive.

You also have the AirTrain via Brisbane - see the AirTrain webpage for details - Whilst it is excellent, it can take some time, it requires a bus or taxi when you get to the Gold Coast area.

We would suggest you Google to see the transfer that will best suit you.

Coolangatta Airport: Easier to fly in to Coolangatta Airport if possible. They have Domestic and some International services. This may assist you in arranging a transfer.

Most part of the Gold Coast could then be reached with in 30 minutes or less.

Surfers Paradise is always an exciting and fun place to visit ... great for a holiday with lots to see and do.

In general it's flat, no matter were you stay it's easy to get to the beach, shops and restaurants ... great thing, if you fly in, you can easily get around without a car.

Just a word about the Theme Parks, they are all a little out of the centre. It's not a problem as you are able to book shuttles to them.

If you want to visit Brisbane for the day. It's easy by train and drops you in the city centre.
