Brisbane Queensland Australia. The capital of Queensland is ever changing from the sleepy town of year back to a modern busy city. Nice however, it has retained that country feel.

A great thing about Brisbane. It's not a large city and easy to explore on foot and with the ferry on the Brisbane River.

We suggest staying in the City Area or Southbank, it's then easier to visit the main attraction by foot.

Do the Loop:
The Loop is a free bus service that circles Brisbane's Central Business District. It stops at several destinations including Central Station, Queen Street Mall, City Botanic Gardens, Riverside Centre, QUT and King George Square. - View Website -

Shopping Queen Street Mall, Casino, City Botanic Gardens, Have a cruise on the Brisbane River. Many restaurants.

Cross the river to Southbank

Southbank:
Southbank Beach: Australia's only artificial inland city beach holding three mega litres of water (approximately three Olympic size swimming pools) and surrounded by 4000 cubic metres of sand. Smaller than both Sydney and Melbourne, its an easy city to get around on foot, or on the winding river with its ferries.

Also a good stop for those planning to visit, or stay, on the Gold Coast or Sunshine Coast as they are both just over an hour away.

Many cruise ships stop in Brisbane.
